I teach Freshman English and Advanced Placement English Language at a suburban public school near Milwaukee. In my dozen years of teaching, I’ve also taught history, coached forensics, and advised the school newspaper.

I consider myself a bit of a techno-geek, as I love playing around with various forms of technology…even if just for the sole purpose of playing around. I am certainly not a technophobe.

Which is why it makes no sense to me why I’m so hesitant to incorporate more of it into my daily teaching…

And that’s what this blog is all about: one teacher’s journey to using the latest and best (within school budgets, of course!) in technology to enhance my teaching and increase the success and motivation.

Mr. Peppler! I came across a link to your blog while idly browsing one morning on the NBPS homepage (something which nobody should make a habit of, incidentally).

The way you’re incorporating blogging and the Internet into your teaching is very innovative — and probably only a few years ahead of its time. I am really, really impressed, and you should be commended.
